Michael Bechtel received his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law in 2020, where he graduated Cum Laude and was an editorial board member of the Michigan State International Law Review. He authored and co-authored several award-winning briefs during his studies there and his student note was published in Volume 28 of the Michigan State International Law Review. After graduating law school, Michael worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Mark W. Latchana at the Genesee County Circuit Court, which provided him with further education and experience necessary to help competently represent clients.
Prior to his legal education, Michael received a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance (2014) and a Master of Music in Violin Performance (2016) from the University of Michigan. He is a member of both the Lansing Symphony Orchestra and the Flint Symphony Orchestra, performing regularly, and loves being a part of the arts community here in Genesee County. He also serves as the treasurer of Light in the Dark Musical Theatre Company, based in Genesee County.
Michael is a Member of the Michigan Bar Association. He currently represents clients in the area of family law.
